Chaitanya is an Ultra Endurance Cyclist and a Triathlete. Professionally he is a Co-founder and Head Coach at MultiFit Academy of Triathlon and Endurance Sports (MATES). He holds the Record for being the fastest Indian Ultra cyclist and the fastest Indian to Qualify for Race Across America (RAAM). Chai as he’s lovingly called is the only Indian to qualify for RAAM 3 times by winning the Deccan Cliffhanger twice and the Desert 500 once.

In 2015 he crewed for the Canadian Ultra cyclist Joan Deitchman and helped her finish second in her 3rd successful RAAM attempt. He has been coaching athletes in ultra-cycling and triathlon since 2 years. He has been a professional Indoor Cycling Instructor and Personal Trainer at MultiFit. Currently he is sponsored by MultiFit for all his races. He is a certified nutritionist and personal trainer.

With extensive experience in athletic conditioning and weight loss. He has a Master Degree in Life Sciences from Australia. It involved Biomechanics which is the study of mechanical laws relating to the movement or skeleto-muscular structure in humans. These studies has helped him understand how to train the body for optimal performance in sports and provided an edge over his fellow competitors. All this knowledge along with the vast racing experience has helped him train other athletes who have went on to win races ultra-races, duathlons and triathlons. He worked for 3 years as a research scientist and an assistant professor. Moved into the health and sport industry full time since 2012.
